Projects
See how we help participants heal through creative expression by exploring our projects below.
The Intergenerational Project
This project facilitated storytelling sessions where seniors shared their experiences and memories of Franklinton with students from Avondale Elementary, and we are excited to celebrate our participants and some stories from Franklinton.
Songs For Survivors
'Songs for Survivors' is a project in collaboration with The Ohio Domestic Violence Network, with the purpose of amplifying the voices of those impacted by domestic violence, with an inside look on the process of healing through art.
WE, The Change
Our year long arts based programming, inside of Columbus City middle schools. Connecting with the students through immersive workshops in song writing & visual art in our after school and in school programs.
Life Stories
10 women speak their truth from inside the Ohio Reformatory in Marysville, Ohio.

Goodwill
We have been lucky enough to work with Goodwill Columbus a few times now. We have written three songs, with three different adult groups at the organization, featuring three distinct local artists. Tune in to hear their songs and intimate interviews from the participants and staff.
Featuring Charlotte McGraw
Goodwill studio artist Charlotte leads art workshops with two groups of women from inside the Ohio Reformatory for Women. The art the women make tells a story and shows their community from a different and unique point of view.
Bridges of Love
Bridges Of Love connected six groups of mothers at the Ohio Reformatory for Women with their children through the power of songwriting.
Still Here
This songwriting workshop collaborated over the course of 10 weeks with the students of Heartland High School, a recovery school that promotes sobriety and gives students access to resources and a support system. Through dialogue created in a safe space, they worked with Dom Deshawn and the WAV workshops team to write and record an original song. Hear more on this process through interviews with the participants and the artist.
Stay Safe
Featuring the voices of over 120 kids, ages 8-18 around Central Ohio during the pandemic. Connecting students with their peers and allowing them to express their feelings in constructive and creative ways.
